Bayern Munich destroyed Wolfsburg 4-0 to finish the season with a victory.

With the title already wrapped up, Bayern Munich could have let their foot off the gas and relaxed, but unfortunately forWolfsburg, that did not happen. The away side was absolutely dominant even with a couple of their top players rested on the bench and showed no mercy on the last matchday. Wolfsburg, who were fighting for a spot in the Europa League, came into the match with a lot to play for but stood no chance against the Bavarians.

Bayern started their scoring right at the beginning withKingsley Comanslotting the ball pastKoen Casteelsin the fourth minute. And then it wasn’t until the 37th minute when Bayern struck again, this time courtesy ofMickael Cuisance, the Frenchman’s first goal for Bayern. It was a beautiful strike from outside the box, very Arjen Robben-esque.

Die Roten quadrupled their lead in the second half.Robert Lewandowskiconverted from the penalty spot in the 72nd minute, and thenThomas Mullergot rewarded for a great match with his own goal in the 79th minute to complete the 4-0 route. (stats viawhoscored.com).

The Ruckrunde for Bayern Munich has been sensational, dropping points only once throughout the year (viawhoscored.com). This team looks destined for great things for the rest of the season. Next weekend is the DfB Pokal final against Bayer Leverkusen, and then the Champions League resumes in August. Before focussing on cup competitions, here are key takeaways from the win against Wolfsburg.
