Tottenham Hotspur defender Jan Vertonghen may not play for the club again, according to The Times.
Vertonghen has reportedly been told by Tottenham that he will not given an extension to his current deal, which expires at the end of the season.
The Belgian international’s contract is due to run until June 30th, and while Spurs are prepared to allow him to see the season out, there is no guarantees Vertonghen will sign.
Vertonghen, apparently, does have some concerns about playing as any injury could scupper a potential move.

At the moment the centre-back has offers from Italy on the table, and it looks like that could be his destination at the end of the campaign.
Vertonghen was only likely to have a covering role at Tottenham even if he had stuck around.
Jose Mourinho has generally preferred other options, with Toby Alderweireld, Davinson Sanchez, Eric Dier and Japhet Tanganga all seemingly ahead of Vertonghen in the pecking order for places currently.
