It has now been over a month since Arsenal last kicked a ball in any competition. The coronavirus pandemic means that football in most countries around the world has been suspended.

It is still unknown when the Premier League will return, but while there may not be too much to talk about on the field, there is still plenty of things going on off the field to provide fans with their football fix.

So, that means that Arsenal correspondent Art de Roche had plenty of topics to discuss during a Facebook live video on Friday afternoon.

Topics ranged from the inevitable transfer talk to when the Premier League will return.

There were also questions surrounding Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang’s situation at the club with him being out of contract next summer.

“Obviously with his contract coming to an end in 2021, that’s going to have to be sorted out this summer,” do Roche said.

“When Raul Sanllehi spoke last year about the Aaron Ramsey departure that should really be the blueprint for him to go off because he’s spoken about how Arsenal were left in a really weak position because Ramsey was able to let his contract run down to within a year, giving clubs around Europe a great chance to snap him up for free.

“I don’t think that’s something they’d want to repeat with Aubameyang so whether that means biting the bullet and accepting a lower fee, that might have to be an option.”

Other questions touched on creative midfielders and former player Thomas Rosicky.
