Liverpool qualified for the Champions League knockout rounds by beating Red Bull Salzburg on Tuesday night – and some of the club’s fans on Twitter praised goalkeeper Alisson Becker for his performance.

The Reds are looking to defend their Champions League crown this season and they seal top spot in their group with a victory in Austria.

Naby Keita and Mohamed Salah scored two goals in two second-half minutes to secure a vital 2-0 away win.

But it wasn’t a straightforward task for Jurgen Klopp’s team, as they came up against opposition that attacked freely and committed a lot of players forward.

Liverpool had to survive a wave of Salzburg attackers early on in the contest, which saw Alisson produce an excellent double save at one point to preserve his clean sheet.

Alisson was busier than usual in net for his team, but passed the test with flying colours and is such a consistent performer.

The 27-year-old Brazilian has become a real favourite at Anfield since he joined in 2018 and is regarded as one of the best goalkeepers in the world.

A selection of Liverpool supporters on social media waxed lyrical about their South American shot-stopper following his latest display in net.

Here are some Liverpool fans on Alisson:

Alisson’s double save in the first 5 minutes have me hope that we might win the match.

That was the key moment in the match for me.

It could be the key moment of the season as well
