Liverpool defender Trent Alexander-Arnold has been voted into 19th place in the 2019 Ballon D’Or classification.
The Liverpool defender has had an amazing 2019, a year in which he played in a second Champions League final, this time on the winning side as Liverpool made up for losing to Real Madrid in 2018 by defeating Tottenham 2-0 in the 2019 final.
Alexander-Arnold has well and truly established himself as a first-team regular at Liverpool and despite his young age, he’s already proven to be one of the best full-backs on the planet.
The 21-year-old has been recognised by voters of the famous Ballon d’Or by breaking into the top 20, ahead of stars like Karim Benzema and Son Heung-Min.
Alexander-Arnold will be hoping that another impressive season at Anfield, one that hopefully for him and the club’s fans, ends in a Premier League title win, will see him finish even higher in the 2020 Ballon D’Or classification.
