Mauricio Pochettino ‘has been advised’ against pursuing the vacant Arsenal manager’s job.
Pochettino has been named as one ofnumerous candidates to replace Unai Emery, who was sacked after a seven-game winless run on Friday.
But his past with Tottenham, as well as the uncertainty and turmoil at their north London rivals, has seen close confidantes suggest he not follow up on their interest.
The Sunday Telegraph claim there is ‘concern’ that Pochettino would ‘ruin’ his ‘legacy’ at Spurs while inheriting ‘a much worse situation’ at Arsenal.
The Argentinean has thus been told by ‘sources’ to ‘take a proper break’ in the aftermath of his Tottenham demise.
Pochettino could then wait for ‘one of Europe’s biggest jobs, such as Bayern, Real Madrid or Manchester United,’ to make his return.
