Shoes. Footballers, or at least most of them, love them.

Whether it’s off the pitch with the latest Balenciagas (they do shoes, right?) or on it with customised boots, few players shy away from making a statement with their footwear.

Chelsea’s Michy Batshuayi is no different, and he sat down withFoot Pack in Franceto discuss his love for football cleats, especially retro ones, like the Adidas f50 adizero he wore against Manchester United in the Carabao Cup.

Ranking them his favourite pair ahead of the Adidas X series and the Copa Mundial classics, the Belgium international also expressed an enjoyment for customising his boots, although, for now, he’s focusing on more important things.

He said:“I try and do it regularly, to have fun and all that. For now, though, I’m a bit less on the pitch so I try and not get caught up with those things and concentrate on football, but as soon as I get more minutes, you’ll see me with shoes like that. I’m saving up some very nice designs”.

As well as extra game time on the pitch under Frank Lampard, the player was asked what everyone could wish for him for the rest of the season.

He said:“My health, no injuries, lots of goals and one or two trophies because I’m a bit bored, so I’d like to have trophies. One with Chelsea and one with Belgium, that really would be perfect”.

The forward has made 10 appearances so far this season, during which he has scored five goals, which included the winner against Ajax back on October 23rd away from home.
