Spanish outlet El Desmarque have claimedthat Arsenal have made a £25.8million offer to sign Dani Ceballos on a permanent basis, after an excellent start to life in north London – but Real Madrid want more.
Ceballos, 23, joined Arsenal on a season-long loan in the summer from Real Madrid, with The Gunners beating the likes of Tottenham Hotspur to the signing of the Spain international. He has since impressed on these shores.
Indeed, Ceballos has clocked up 12 appearances in all competitions in the middle of the park, wearing the number eight shirt. Of Arsenal’s summer signings, he has certainly been one of the better ones, as Nicolas Pepe and David Luiz struggle.
It has seen Arsenal choose to make a permanent offer for Ceballos, as per the report. It is believed that Ceballos is desperate to remain at Arsenal for a number of years beyond his loan. Their offer of £25.8million is a good one, but not good enough.
That is because Real president Florentino Perez wants as much as £30.1million at a bare minimum for Ceballos, if the midfielder is to leave permanently. The Champions League winner has a contract at Real until the summer of 2023.

TBR’s view – Arsenal should accept Real’s demands and pay up
The difference of £4.3million should not deter Arsenal from completing a permanent deal for ex-Real Betis star, who has dramatically improved The Gunners’ midfield.
Ceballos is easily worth £30million and at just 23 years of age, that value can increase in the Premier League. He can be the driving force from Arsenal’s midfield for years to come. They have to meet Real’s demands.
