Chelsea striker Tammy Abraham is own of the main success stories of the season in Frank Lampard’s first spell as a manager in the Premier League.

The Blues striker tops the Premier League goals chart alongside Sergio Aguero scoring 8 goals so far, and he has managed to keep both Olivier Giroud and Michy Batshuayi firmly in the background as he continues to break the alleged number 9 curse.

You can see how much he is loving his season at Chelsea, where he has finally completed his life goal of playing in the first team as a regular for the club he grew up loving and playing at since the age of 7.

They way he celebrates every single win shows exactly the mentality he has and just what this club means to him. He is a supporter as well as a player, something that has been missing at Chelsea for a little while.

Frank Lampard has been speaking to theChelsea websiteand praising how Abraham learns.

He said:

“What you see with Tammy is what you get: physicality, movement and enthusiasm to keep trying to be a problem for the defenders.

“I’ve got nice problems up front. We’ve got Giroud and Batshuayi who, to give them both credit, have shown great professionalism, training at a level, and they’ll get their chances as well because it’s a long season.

“But at the moment Tammy, with regular goals and being a big part of getting us to where we are at the moment, has been playing.

“He’s a sponge – he wants to listen, to get better, to score more goals, improve his game and help his team-mates. He’s got the beautiful base of that in terms of coaching.

“The goals, and performances, will show him what he can do at this level and hopefully can move him up the levels even more.”
