CHAN Eagles striker, Ibrahim Sunusi has said that the Nigeria team needs to score an early goal against the Sparrow hawks of Togo if they hope to overturn the 4-1 deficit in the first leg.

The Nigerian team must score three unreplied goals at the Agege Stadium to pick the ticket to next year’s CHAN in Cameroun.

Sunusi who scored Nigeria’s only goal in the first leg said: “We have been training very well for today’s encounter because we know that we must play our best game to stage a comeback.

“We have reviewed the games we played against them and we realised that if we work on the errors we committed we stand a good chance of upturning the deficit.

“We must try to score a few early goals too. We know our opponents very well now and we are going into the game with that knowledge.

“We are also hoping that we are lucky this time because we were unlucky in the past matches against them.”

Also, Enyimba defender Ifeanyi Anaemena has said the team is not under pressure despite facing a herculean task.

Anaemena, one of the new players in the team, noted that they are calm and know the right thing to do in the game.

“It is not true that we are under pressure because of the result of the first leg,” Anaemena told NationSport.

“We have been training very hard and putting our attention on the game. We know we are playing at home and will be ready for a great comeback.

“We know what is at stake and are ready to make Nigerians smile. We won’t give Togo any breathing space and they won’t beat us again.”
