Legendary football star Jay-Jay Okocha recently opened up about the struggles he faced when he started out as a young footballer. The sports legend revealed these during the chatty interview he had with comedian Teju Babyface.
According to Okocha, the first country he traveled to in Europe was Germany. There, he encountered a great deal of racist actions from people. The football star said he never knew he was Black until he went to this European country.
In order to tackle the problem of racism he was facing, Okocha said he made a determination to ‘dribble’ his opponents on the field and play so well till all they want to do is ‘chop grass’.
