– Anthony Joshua is set for a rematch against Andy Ruiz Jr in the United States
– The Mexican boxer knocked Joshua out in the seventh round during their first bout
– Ruiz is now the unified IBF, WBA, and WBO heavyweight champion of the world
Anthony Joshua has been branded by Andy Ruiz Jr as a bad boxer and promised to record another victory when they meet again.
The unified heavyweight champion stunned Joshua to win the IBF, WBA and WBO titles on June 1, and a rematch is set for later part of the year.
The bout is set to take place at the Madison Square Garden as Joshua looks to redeemed his dented perfect record in the ring.
“The rematch is going to be the same. I am going to be more prepared and more ready,”Ruiz said.
“I know his flaws. I can do a lot better. The only thing that he can do is just run around, he’s not good at boxing.”
Ruiz became Mexico’s first-ever world heavyweight champion despite residing in California, United States but represents his parent’s country.
The 29-year-old was flanked by a Mexican Mariachi band and was paraded through the area where he grew up in the back of a convertible car.
He floored Joshua four times to inflict a seventh-round stoppage and a first career defeat on Joshua who was a 1-25 favourite with bookmakers.

Ruiz who earned a reported $7million (£5.5m) for the bout told reporters:“First of all I bought a car for my mum, that was the first purchase I made from the money I got. I messed up a lot of her cars when I was young so I got her a brand new car.”
Joshua’s promoter Eddie Hearn said that the Nigerian-born British heavyweight is keen to return to Madison Square Garden to avenge the defeat, which came as his debut fight in the United States.
Ruiz who was ridiculed for his rotund physique in fight week, vowed to weigh in lighter than his first fight with Joshua.
“People thought I wasn’t going to do anything, I was too big, too overweight,” he added. “I don’t want to say all the things I am going to change.
“There is going to be a lot of changing, I am going to come at a better weight this time. It’s going to be a hell of a fight.”
