Managers are working hard trying to strengthen their squads during the summer transfer window so we’ll bring you all the latest news and gossip from around the globe. Today, Arsenal are linked with Kieran Tierney….
Arsenal are set to table a bid for Kieran Tierney in the coming days after Unai Emery identified the Celtic star as the answer to his problems at left-back, according to theDaily Mail.
Emery is under pressure to overhaul his ageing squad this summer after we finished fifth in the Premier League table and were beaten 4-1 by Chelsea in the Europa League final last season.
Defence is a particular area of concern as Arsenal conceded 70 across all competitions last campaign – including 51 in the league – so Emery desperately needs to strengthen his options at the back.
It appears the Gunners boss has identified Tierney as a key target as theDaily Mailclaim Emery has informed the Arsenal board that the Celtic left-back would be an excellent addition to the team.
The newspaper suggests Arsenal are now expected to formalise their interest with an offer over the coming days but warn we’ll have to table at least £20m for Celtic to even consider cashing-in on the young defender.

Tierney has been with his boyhood club since he was a kid and progressed through the ranks at Celtic Park to become an integral part of the first team set-up with the youngster already making 170 appearances so far.
The 22-year-old is under contract until 2023 so Celtic are under no pressure to sell but Tierney may be tempted by a switch to England as it should help him try to oust Andy Robertson from the left-back spot in the Scottish national team.
I think Tierney would be an excellent signing for Arsenal if we could get a deal agreed with Celtic this summer and I beleive he would be an upgrade on our current options at left-back.
However, Emery is working on a tight budget so he may need to offload Nacho Monreal or Sead Kolasinac before we can afford to spend £20m on the Scottish international.
