Messi returns in style for Argentina
Lionel Messi scored twice as Argentina thrashed Nicaragua 5-1 in their Copa America warm-up game in San Juan. Substitute Lautaro Martinez also scored two as Lionel Scaloni’s side completed their preparations before flying to Brazil for their opening match against Colombia in Salvador on Saturday. Inter Milan’s Martinez, who came on with Paulo Dybala after Messi and Aguero were withdrawn at half-time, added his two before another substitute, Roberto Pereyra, tapped in a late fifth. Nicaragua’s Juan Barrera converted a 91st-minute penalty after a Nicolas Otamendi handball.
